Anne Hathaway has been promoting her newest movie The Idea of You on the Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon which starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video today. On the show, she received the biggest shock of her life.
On the show when asked by Jimmy Fallon on what made them choose Nicholas Galitzine as her co-star for the romantic drama. She asked the audience if they had read the book while describing the moment that she chose the hot male lead.
However, she was greeted with deafening silence by the guests on the Tonight Show and in response she was mortified. Fallon then said again, ‘We don’t read. This is the Tonight Show. Yeah, you wanna go over to Stephen Colbert if you want to get people who read books.’ Then a laughing Anne reiterated ‘Well, you have an awesome book ahead of you,’ she said, as Fallon joked, ‘We do Audible here, does that count?’
Talking further about the novel, Anne told Jimmy Fallon, ‘Well the book does have a fan following… somewhere, and I think the book is incredible.’ She further shared about the male lead character on the book Hayes Campbell played the hot sexy Nicholas Galitzine.
Hayes Campbell ‘is just so beautifully written in the book and so we knew we needed to find someone special.”And he walked in and I just thought, “Oh, that’s Hayes Campbell.” And that was almost two years ago, and now Nick and I have become really good friends,’ Hathaway concluded on the Tonight Show.
