The Deliverance was recently released and currently streaming on Netflix. While this author has not yet seen the movie, we have read reviews and fans’ reactions to the movie and have compiled them to show you that perhaps it’s worth watching.
Here are the reactions. One comment read, “I swear fo the good lawd this was THEE FUNNIEST horror movie I have ever seen in my life. Whoever wrote this had to be snorting the finest booger sugar. And when Glenn Close said “I can smell your nappy p*******” I hollered cause what was the reason?! Lee Daniels is so outta line for this 😂😂😂 #TheDeliverance”
Another noted that the Deliverance is a must-watch writing, “The documentary is something to watch. Take a look at it.” Another says,”Didn’t Glen Close character also say she should have gotten rid of her when she was a blood clot???? Yeah, this movie was crazy as h*ll!!!!.”
“First of all this was not made to just be a horror movie this is a true actual event that took place in this blk family this is a TRUE STORY not some made up whatever Hollywood or Halloween story go do your research.”
“And what tf CPS worker can afford to dress like she did and drive a fucken Mercedes?!?! Ain’t no way! I’m a social worker. She gotta have a rich partner cuz otherwise she be driving a used Honda and eating Ramen a couple times a week. 🤣🤣🤣🤣”
The last comment on the deliverance gave a better review of the movie. “I understand it’s based off a true story. However, in my personal opinion that matters only to me, I found the story flat and lacked depth. They could have done a better job telling the story and connecting the dots.”

“I gave it a thumbs down. Great actors but a script lacking substance which did not allow them to be their very best at what they do. Actors A+ Script F. I got the concept and the message of the movie; don’t get me wrong — acknowledgment, acceptance, forgiveness, and deliverance. Again, the script was not connected properly so I find the movie all over the place and lacking depth. Again, just my personal opinion.”
