Davido Finally Gives Up Imade To Sophia Momodu Amid Custody Battle

TBN understands that a custody battle is always messy but Nigerians believe that Sophia Momodu went below the belt by using Davido’s late son Ifeanyi to score cheap points that were well below the belt. Recall that the singer and his now-wife lost their son in 2022 to drowning.

In June, court documents obtained by Instablog leaked that the singer filed to obtain joint custody of his first child, Imade Aurora Adeleke. A move that triggered his baby mama to detail her own side of the story alleging that Davido stopped taking care of her because she refused him sex.

Then netizens were fed up with her drama and told her to go to court for a custody battle instead of looking for pity online. So, Sophia Momodu countersued Davido stating reasons he should not be granted custody. One was alleging that he is married and can’t take care of her.

Another reason was that, he was unfit to be a father as his son had died in a questionable manner. This prompted the singer to share details of the case on Instagram after their appearance before Justice Bashua’s family court in Yaba, Lagos State earlier in the day.

The first post following the custody battle read, “You are constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us every day of our lives… Imade will grow up to see I fought for her. As for now, u can have her. P.S. She won’t be a child forever. Enjoy, Imade Aurora Adeleke! Your father loves you!”

“Joint custody: Both parents will have access to the child. Sole custody – Only a single parent will have access to the child. All I ask for is JOINT CUSTODY !! And nothing else! But cus it’s ‘Davido’ y’all wanna act like y’all can’t read. Smh.. I’m off this! Yall be blessed, and I pray this never happens to you.”

Following the news several social media users were of the view that he stop stressing himself that his daughter would soon be an adult and look for him. A tweet by Main told him not to play a victim and leave the babymama. “Don’t use your deceased child to play victim! She raised a safety concern! Which is very very valid. She is figthing for her child!”

Davido, then replied, “Make she keep am” implying that he is washing his hands off the custody battle with Sophia Momodu.
