Hiss is her first solo single to achieve this feat. The rest of her songs have reached the top echelon in her collaboration with Beyonce (Savage) and Cardi B (Wap). To show her excitement, Megan Thee Stallion shared a screenshot showing her single jumping to the top of the chart.
She captioned it, ‘My first SOLO DEBUT #1.’ ‘We made so much HISSTORY with this one ! JU remember we used to sit at your living room table making beats! Now we got our first # 1 together!!’ ‘Thank you to everyone that ran it up !!! Im so thankful, so grateful, so appreciative !!! ‘Lets stay focused and stay positive and keep going up !!! Ps. YES IM ABOUT TO START PLANNING THEE HOTTIE PARTY LETS GET THE HENNESSYYYY,’ Megan Thee Stallion completed. Among the post is also a slide that further celebrated the song’s success, by showing that it had hit #1 on both the Global Apple Streaming chart and the iTunes International chart.
She capped off her post with a photo of herself as she looked towards the camera and stuck out her tongue in a teasing pose. The post got her fans excited and they took to the comments section to pen their thoughts. One referred to the beef with Nicki Minaj writing “The last slide is a good response to someone who is childish.”

Fellow stars also congratulated Megan. Juicy J wrote, ‘Congrats!’ followed by fire emojis, while Taraji P. Henson wrote, ‘Yaaaaaaaassssss!!!! Go baby girl GO!!!!!’ In the first week of the “Hiss” release, it scored around 29.2 million streams and had nearly 3 million radio airplay audience impressions, while 104,000 downloads were sold, according to Luminate.
It helped that fans speculated that certain lyrics in the song targeted Nicki Minaj, as Megan made possible references to the rapper’s husband Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender. Part of the lyrics shows a shade to Nicki Minaj.
