Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya who are close friends in their interview with Entertainment Tonight said it was weird to kiss while shooting for their highly anticipated movie Dune: Part Two which is set to be released in June.
The interview showed the co-stars talking about the awkwardness of playing romantic leads when they were already good ‘platonic’ friends. Another issue was that both stars had relationships going on in their real life.

Timothee Chalamet is currently dating one of the Kar-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner while Zendaya is dating Spider-Man star Tom Holland. The actress remarked, ‘It’s definitely strang.’ ‘I think both of us are just like, “All right. This is our job. OK, we’re going to do this.”‘
The Wonka actor went further, calling the intimate display ‘weird as hell’ because the two are ‘so close, platonically.”In the scope of the movie, it’s totally what is happening, but I also feel like we are so tight now that it really is just like another day at work,’ he added.
Timothee Chalamet joked, ‘I don’t know what that says about the nature of our jobs, but it’s just another day of work.’ Dune: Part Two shows him as Paul Atreides, the heir to the now-decimated House Atreides. He was abandoned with his mother in the desert world of Arakis.
Then his planet’s resources were taken over and exploited by members of House Harkonnen who are responsible for his family’s slaughter. The movie also shows the actress cast as Chani, a girl from the e desert-dwelling Fremen tribe who will teach him how to survive in the punishing environment so that he can lead her people to rise up against the galactic forces colonizing their planet.
Zendaya also spoke about the futuristic setting and unconventional social relations in the film. ‘It was definitely something we were trying to understand because you can’t be like, “What’s up, shawty?”’You see, throughout the film, the moments between them. The things that are unsaid,’ Zendaya said of their characters’ budding romance.
Then continued, ‘The glances between characters — there’s so much said just with looks. I think it happens with all the characters, and specifically Paul and Chani.”I think we’ve built a lot just within brief glances, with whatever they’re holding inside,’ she added. ‘[It may be] a brief moment between us, but so much can be said,” she finished.
Apart from Timothee Chalamentand Zendaya, other stars in Dune: Part Two include Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård and Christopher Walken.
