Kanye West shared an Instagram post teasing a special event scheduled to take place at United Center on Thursday. He also shared an image of the number ‘1’ on his account. This may be referring to Vultures, Volume One, which he previously announced was dropping on February 9.
He also shared an image, which read: ‘Vultures United Center Chicago 02 08 24.’However, this seems untrue as the United Center does not have any events set for Thursday. The Chicago Blackhawks, however, are scheduled to play at the stadium on Wednesday and Friday.
The upcoming album of Kanye West comes after he hosted multiple listening parties for fans in Chicago and Atlanta fir his tenth album Donda. A single on the Vulture garnered backlash by Jewish organizations who branded him ‘pathetic and sad’ over vile lyrics about a Jewish woman.
Vultures features the ‘offensive’ lyrics: ‘How am I anti-Semitic? I just f***ed a Jewish b****.’ The Jewish community spokesperson told Richard Hirschhaut told TMZ, at the time, ‘To fuel the flames of antisemitism and promote such bile to his millions of followers, especially at this fraught and dangerous time for the Jewish community, is unforgivable.’
2023 also saw Kanye West making a series of antisemitism posts which led to a loss of several partnership deals. He vowed to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’ in a string of sick posts online.
