After several successful shows in different countries and continents, Taylor Swift Vienna shows were cancelled. This is the first time, one of her concert performances gets cancelled and it is not for the right reasons.
On Wednesday, the Austria government announced that they had arrested two suspects who were making plans to plant explosives during her Vienna shows. Several bombs and explosives were also found stashed in their apartment.
Taylor Swift Vienna shows was teased by the star on Tuesday after she shared a couple of images from her Poland show. Part of the caption read, “Also want to thank those beautiful crowds for making us the first tour to play 3 nights in a row in your stadium!! I can’t believe we have 2 cities left on the European leg of The Eras Tour. It’s truly flown by. See you soon Vienna!
The first suspect arrested in the south of Vienna is barely an adult (19 years) and the other is in the capital. Both started the terror attack online with the former pledging support for the Islamic group and upon further investigation confiscating several explosives and chemical substances used to make bombs.
So far, it is not clear what their names are but Taylor Swift Vienna shows were slated to run at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion on August 8, 9, and 10. Previously, precautionary security measures for the shows were taken until it was cancelled. It is also not clear if ticket buyers will be refunded.
Taylor Swift is still in the European tour leg of her era tour which kicked off last year. It is not clear when the Tour will end but the pop star may add other countries and tour dates as the time goes on.
