On Wednesday, Prince Harry enjoyed the support of his mum Princess Diana’s siblings at the Invictus Games Foundation’s 10th anniversary celebration held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. This is amid the news that his father King Charles is allegedly too busy to meet with him.
Interestingly, none of the royals attended the service including the heir to the British throne, Prince William who had another engagement. They were spotted at King Charles’s first garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace. Notable amongst them are Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
Despite the absence of the royals, the erstwhile prince enjoyed attention from many reporters, onlookers and family from his mother’s side. Princess Diana’s siblings Charles Spence and Lady Ajane Fellowes were seen at the St Paul’s event. His cousins, Lara Spencer, Louis Spencer, and George McCorquodale attended the service.
Prince William on his part had another event yesterday. He attended King Charles’s Coronation Concert, held on the grounds of Windsor Castle and gave a speech in honour of the monarch. Social media users have alleged that he took a swipe at his younger brother, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
This is not the first time Princess Dian’s siblings and relatives are pledging support to Prince Harry. At the christening of his daughter Lilibet, his aunties Lady Sarah and Lady Jane reportedly attended the United States bound ceremony. Reports also have it that he has maintained strong ties with the Spencer.
Afterwards, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will set sail for Nigeria where they were invited to tour the country by Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa. The military official noted that they would be given the type of security they wanted in the UK but unfortunately, the estranged prince lost the appeal.
On his part, Prince William is taking on extra duties as he supports his wife Kate Middleton who is battling cancer. After weeks of silence, he gave a brief update on how she was feeling on Tuesday, April 30 during his appearance at the opening of James Place Newcastle. One attendee had inquired about the princess’s health status and his children. The future king then replied“All doing well, thank you,” he said. “We’re all doing well.
