Rapper Rich The Kid is stirring up some controversy about Kanye West in a now-deleted Instagram post. He had uploaded a screenshot of messages he’d received from an iPhone contact under the name ‘Ye,” which allegedly details the Praise God singer’s next career move.
Currently, Kanye West was last spotted in Russia where he was slated to headline a show in Moscow. Till now, no other news of the show filtered in except that if indeed Kanye West made it to Russia, he would be the first celebrity to visit Russia since Putin invaded Ukraine.

Perhaps upon his return, Kanye West will finally bid bye to professional music as alleged in the text messages shared by rapper Rich The Kid. The messages had shown a number supposedly Kanye West’s telling the rapper that he is done with music.
The text message read ‘I’m retiring from professional music. Not sure what else to do.” a reply by Rich then reads,’Retire? Why ? How ? The [people] NEED you the music you & Ty & we have made was the BIGGEST STAMP in culture to this date In 2024.”
If indeed, Kanye West plans to retire, TBN believes he will be doing so with his head held high as he has won several awards with his 12 studio albums. He is one the world’s best-selling music artists with 160 million records sold, 24 Grammy Awards, joint 11th-most of all time and most awarded for any hip hop artist along with Jay-Z.
Along with these awards, Kanye has collaborated with several artists including the rumour-monger rapper Rich The Kid. He was part of West and Ty’s lead single Carnival, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it debuted in March.
Not long after, the rapper deleted the messages which left fans wondering if he was not peddling rumour to attract attention on his latest project Life’s A Gamble which West produced with Ty Dolla $ign. One user commented, ‘Long story short y’all lied for promotion?’
