Appeal Court Mandates Righteous Daddy Freeze To Pay 5 Million Naira Fine After Losing Adultery Case
In 2021, a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, mandated Daddy Freeze whose real name is Ifedayo Olarinde to pay the sum of N5m to Paul Odekina for sleeping with his wife, Benedicta Elechi. The marriage between the two was also dissolved then.
The judgement had read, “The sum of N5,000,000 is awarded against Ifedayo Olarinde (the 2nd Cross Respondent to the Cross Petition) as damages for depriving the Cross Petitioner of the amiable consort of his wife (Petitioner/1st Cross Respondent) and for injury suffered as a result of his adultery with the Petitioner/Cross Respondent.”

However, Daddy freeze did not accept the judgment and appealed to a higher court stating that the aggrieved husband Odekina did not attempt to serve him personally before applying for substituted service, which violates Order 7 Rule 2 of the Rules of the Trial Court.
Unfortunately, he has now lost the case as Appeal Court upholds the earlier judgement by the high court. The appellate court has ordered him to Pay N5Million to the Husband of Benedicta Elechi, Paul Odekina who he committed Adultery with!!!
The adultery case dated back to 2017 when Daddy Freeze was accused of dating and impregranting a married woman who have four kids. He had denied the allegation until the husband decided to sue him which resulted in the law suit and the subsequent judgement.
For a man who enjoys blasting several churches and men of God, this singular act shows him as a morally bankrupt man who should not be heeded. He has also made several controversial statements on politics, religion, love and marriage which has earned him so much criticism and applause alike.
