Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana have a new movie Emilia Perez which is set to hit the French theatres on August 21. It will also be available on Netflix and in theatres in both the United Kingdom and the United States on November 13.
Per IMDb the story features the story of an overqualified and exploited, Attorney Rita played by Zoe Saldana who is wasting her talents working for a big law firm far that has never been interested in serving justice. Luckily for her, she found a shocking way out.
Zoe Saldana staring as Rita In Emilia Perez will have to help feared cartel boss Juan “Little Hands” Del Monte – aka Manitas – retire from his business and disappear forever. Manitas has a plan he’s been fine-tuning in secret for years: to become, at last, the woman he’s always dreamed of becoming.
Other members of the cast include Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Perez), Edgar Ramírez(Gustavo), Adriana Paz, and Selena Gomez (Jessi, Emilia Perez’s wife ). The Movie is set to be a black buster as Rotten Tomatoes critics reviewing Emilia Pérez at Cannes gave the film an 86% “fresh” rating based on 37 reviews.

The trailer which dropped on June 18 saw lawyer Rita Moro Castro (Saldaña) receiving an offer to help a dangerous drug lord who faked his death and transitioned into becoming a woman to avoid his past life. Unfortunately, this dream did not last long as he started missing his wife and two kids in Mexico.
A sure way to be reunited with them will be to pretend to be a long-lost relative which the lawyer Rita was to help with. Altogether the movie promises to be a block buster as it received 11 minute long ovation at the Cannes Film Festival.
