Prince Harry and Meghan Markle deactivated their official website and social media accounts following their decision in 2020 to step back as senior royals. The couple has relaunched their website Sussex.com.
The newly relaunched website will document their charitable and business endeavours, with both the nonprofit Archewell Foundation and for-profit Archewell Productions linked in the footer. The new site also shows some other information.
For instance, the new website reads “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is shaping the future through business and philanthropy.” “This includes the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organizations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.”
For the home page, the couple opted to use a photo of the two of them clapping and smiling at the closing ceremonies of the 2023 Invictus games. It is also the image used for their 2023 Christmas card. As stated above, the couple deactivated SussexRoyal.com after they stepped down as senior members of the British Royal Family.
The old site is up and now opens with a pop-up message linking to the new site. Again, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle agreed to remove the word Royal on their trademark then as well as in their nonprofit work or any future branding, due to prohibitions set by a U.K. government rule.
In addition to the closure of the SussexRoyal.com website, they also deleted their social media accounts which used the same name. For instance, The @sussexroyal Instagram account’s last post—from March 30, 2020, showed a message on the hardships imposed by the newly begun COVID-19 pandemic.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues,” the caption reads. “Thank you to this community – for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!” Prince Harry and his Duchess wrote.
With the website Sussex.com up and running, without the use of the word Royal, the couple may never go back to take their position in the family. However, the Sussexes may finally return to Instagram.
