Kris Jenner Takes A Jab At Her Kardashian Reality TV Show In New Oreo Super Bowl Ad

Kris Jenner was featured in the new Oreo Superbowl ad and she used the opportunity to poke fun at her hair family, the Kardashians” reality TV show. Her daughter Kim was at the game also.

The matriarch reality star was seen in one of the slew of Superbowl ads. But was featured at the end of the new ad for Oreo. The ad asked how some events may have shaken out if people had made important decisions based on the twist of an Oreo cookie.

The Oreo ad is a nod to the 1998 movie Rounders, where John Malkovich’s Teddy KGB character makes certain decisions at the poker table based on a twist. The ad with Kris Jenner starts in ancient Greece, with the infamous Trojan Horse from Virgil’s iconic story The Odyssey being wheeled to the gates of Troy.

The Trojan Horse was presented as a gift to the goddess of war, Athena, but when the massive horse was wheeled inside the gates of Troy, Greek soldiers snuck out of the horse at night and destroyed the city, thus ending the Trojan War. The ad shows the horse being brought to the gates by a courier, as two wary guards stop him, as they’re told it’s a gift for Athena.

However, the ad shows instead of soldiers of Oreo cookies being pulled out. The guards say they’ll ‘twist on it,’ as the other guard says, ‘creme on the right, we’ll let him in.’ They twist and sure enough, the creme is on the right, as they open the gates and say, ‘Welcome to Troy!’ The also shows Kris Jenner’s office as she’s on the phone, stating, ‘So every little detail about our family will be on TV? Who would watch that?’

Then she reaches down for a plate of Oreos and grabs a cookie, saying, ‘Let me twist on it,’ as the creme is all on the left side. To which she smiles and says, ‘Hope you can keep up,’ referring to the title of the family’s original E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The ad concludes with a group of angels in heaven, as one adds, ‘Wait a minute, we could have been twisting on it this whole time?’ Same Sunday, Kris Jenner also shared a gift basket of Oreo products her team sent to her on Sunday via her Instagram story.

She captioned it, ‘I love my team!!!!’ with the note reading, ‘Congratulations!!!! We are so proud of you and your Super Bowl LVIII ad with Oreo,’ signed by team members Matthew, Allie, Marlyn, Kate, Nick and Sabrina.’ she also shared a package she received from Oreo, including some custom cookies with images of Jenner from the ad, along with several other Oreo products.

She also showcased a note from the company, which read, ‘Kris, Happy Game Day! Thanks again for making our “Twist On It” commercial the most iconic yet! We couldn’t have done it without YOU! Cheers Your Oreo Family.’
