It took an assassination attempt for Donald Trump to get the endorsement of the richest man in the world, Elon Musk. The former president got injured in the ear as a gunman opened fire at his rally in Pennsylvania, USA.
On Saturday, July 13, 2024, a shooter around 6.15 pm fired multiple shots at Trump who was on the stage. Per Secret Service Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi’s statement, the shooter was in an elevated position outside the campaign rally venue and appeared to have a bullet grazed the presidential aspirants’ ears.
In response to the shots, Secret Service agents pushed Donald Trump to the ground as they sought to protect him and took him out of the venue. He was also confirmed to be fine after he was assessed by medics in the hospital. Not long after the assassination attempt, Elon Musk endorses him for the presidency.
Taking to his X formerly Twitter account, he tweeted, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” he said on X. Adding in the second post, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.” I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.
After the endorsement by Elon Musk, his son Eric Trump told Page Six that the former president is the, “Toughest man I have ever met.” This implies that Donald Trump will not be bullied and will bounce back to continue his campaign as the election draws near.

His daughter, Ivanka Trump also took to her Instagram page to show appreciation for those who supported her father. “Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania, she started.
Adding, “I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country.” “I love you Dad, today and always.” The assassination attempt also caused the death of one rallygoer.
