Lloyds Bank Allege That Taylor Swift’s Fans (Swifties) Has Lost About £1million To Ticket Fraudsters: See Details
Lloyds Bank, a bank in the UK has reported that several Taylor Swift fans( Swifties) have been victims of fraud. The fans of the art have lost money used to purchase tickets in for the UK version of the eras tour set to kick off in June.
Per the bank, over 600 of their customers reported losing money used to purchase tickets. The bank further states that eachpseson lost Bout £332 with some as high as over £1,000. Perhaps it’s for those who paid for vip sections of the show.
Lloyds Banks further reported that the scam have likely affected at least 3,000 victims. This was estimated to be between July 2023 and April 2024. In her statement, Liz Ziegler, fraud prevention director at Lloyds Bank, declared: “For her legion of dedicated Swifties, the excitement is building ahead of Taylor’s Eras Tour finally touching down in the UK this summer”
“However, cruel fraudsters have wasted no time in targeting her most loyal fans as they rush to pick up tickets for her must-see concerts,” the fraud director continued. “It’s easy to let our emotions get the better of us when we find out our favourite artist is going to be performing live. But it’s important not to let those feelings cloud our judgement when trying to get hold of tickets,” she finished.
In the findings, Lloyds bank also noted that over 90% of the reported fraud cases was due to with fake adverts or posts on Facebook. It is quite clear that several fan groups of the star is riddled with posts asking people to purchase tickets to her shows in various states.

Besides, the social media platform has been known to be a den for fraudsters. Several Swifties find themselves in a quandary after making payments. Taylor Swift has visited several states to perform for her chart topping tour. Currently, the Eras tour has become highest-grossing tour of all time.
Prior to the Lloyds Bank report, she made the Forbes billionare’s list. Apart from the tour, she is currently in a romantic relationship with Player, Travis Kelce and was seen making out with him at Coachella.
