Social media stood still over the weekend as Kate Middleton makes first public outing since her cancer diagnosis in March. The princess of Wales was spotted looking radiant in a white dress for the Trooping the Colours event while Meghan Markle launched her latest product.
A move royal expert says is geared towards stealing the spotlight from the Princess of Wales in an interview with TMZ. According to royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti, the Duchess of Sussex wants some of the attention that the royals had especially the Princess of Wales.
Recall that Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry stepped down as senior members of the royal family and granted several explosive interviews to the press about the British family. Perhaps what really triggered the estrangement is the prince’s book titled Spare.
Since then, the estranged couple has made the United States their home and the Duchess of Sussex has stayed clear of anything royal until last weekend when she released her new jams product from her brand American Riviera Orchard right in the middle of the Trooping the Colours event.
The latest product was shared by her friend, Nacho Figueras and is being seen as a move to steer attention to herself and her brand, American Riviera Orchard. Even royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti agrees but notes that it can also be a coincidence.
Meghan Markle launched American Riviera Orchard with its website and Instagram page going live on March 14. According to TMZ, the brand will sell, “cookbooks, tableware, coffee and tea services, jellies, jams, tablecloths, cookbooks, servingware, cutlery, spreads of all kinds, and lots more.”
