It’s not uncommon for actors to recreate a favourite outfit of the character they played. That’s what the Maid In Manhattan character dress means for Jennifer Lopez who donned a dress from the movie for the red carpet.
The movie is a 2002 romantic comedy that saw the star’s character falling in love with a politician. The movie was directed by Wayne wang and adapted from a story by John Hughes and released by Columbia Pictures while garnering 154 million dollars in revenue.

In the Maid in Manhattan movie, Jennifer Lopez’s character rocked a similar outfit that was shared by her in latest Instagram posts. The posts featured a video and image of her in a red carpet-worthy dress that screamed beauty and extravaganza at the just concluded Hispanic Federation’s 2024 annual gala.

The dress is a draped beige Monique Lhuillier gown that features gathered material all across the heart-shaped bodice, a wraparound skirt with a high slit going up one of the legs and a floor-brushing cape pinned together at the front. Then she added some jewellery to accentuate the style.
Jennifer Lopez accompanied the Maid in Manhattan look dress with accessories such as a diamond torque necklace, dangling light pink diamond earrings and a large chunky ring while opting for a full glam made up of a rosy lip and light pink eye shadow.
The Maid in Manhattan dress though different was the one she wore while kissing the politician in the movie. The movie dress did not have a cape but had a similar silhouette and colour.
