Kim Kardashian Faces Another Backlash Over Listing Dirty Birkin Bag For $70K
It’s not a good week for fans if they don’t find an excuse to troll Kim Kardashian. This time around, she is facing backlash f by fans for selling her “dirty” Hermès purse for $70,000 on her family’s resale site. She had posted the rare grey matte alligator Birkin bag on Kardashian Kloset, which was listed in “good condition.”
A part of the description further shows that there was “some discolouration on handles and underside bottom corners and minor scratching on metal.” This description got fans on Reddit confused as to why she would sell the bag at such a high price when the handles were visibly turning brown.
And then wasted no time to shade Kim Kardashian. “Seriously how desperate are they for money? And why does no one find it strange that these ‘billionaires’ are selling their second-hand clothes? 😭” wrote one user.“70k for a dirty bag, holy hell!” added another.
“This is so embarrassing. Why don’t they get it restored by H before selling it?” asked a third fan. “The nerve to list at that price with all of the discolourations in the handles and wear & tear on the bottom and lower corners…. sKam artists,” said a fourth Reddit user.
A fifth fan commented: “The hardware is all scuffed and dull, the edges are worn and slightly frayed, and it’s discoloured from makeup/tanner. Just wow. Anyone who buys this from them is an idiot, they can’t even be bothered to restore it or have it stored properly. Is this even a real piece? They really have no shame!”
Although the fans slammed Kim Kardashian, it appears that the price may actually be fair. A new bag is available to purchase in new condition on luxury site 1stdibs for $120,875. This is not the first Birkin she is listed on her family’s resale website. Earlier this month, she also another Birkin bag titled Peacock Blue Porosud Crocodile for a whopping $49,995.00.
Per the website, the designer tote featured “palladium hardware and double handles” with “Twist lock and lock & key closure.”The Birkin bag was listed in “good condition” with minor wear and tear. She also listed two other Birkins up for sale, along with several Louis Vuitton duffle bags and items from Chanel.

Kim Kardashian like Jennifer Lopez is known for her love of Birkins. She even owns one of the “world’s most expensive handbags” from the brand. It is the Hermès Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Diamond Birkin handbag that costs more than $100,000 (and is estimated to be worth $380,000).
She rocked the bag to a soccer game in Japan. Last year in November, she also added a massive grey Haut à courroies “HAC” Birkin bag she headed to business meetings in New York City.
