Salma Hayek is the perfect stepmother to wish for. Her latest birthday to her stepdaughter Mathilde attests to the fact. On Tuesday, the star shared a sweet tribute to her husband François-Henri Pinault’s daughter in honour of her 23rd birthday.
The tribute includes the star revealing how ‘proud’ she is of her stepdaughter and referred to her by her nickname ‘Tildie’ on Instagram. The tribute also includes two photos of herself and Mathilde posing together while hanging out on a boat. There are also other images shared as well including that of Mathilde with her billionaire father François-Henri.
Mathilde and François Pinault are Salma Hayek’s husband’s kids whom he shares with ex-wife Dorothée Lepère, a French interior designer. The former couple got divorced in 2004 after eight years of marriage. At 23, the youngster has accomplished as a model and student.

She told The Auction in 2021 that her biggest ‘dream’ is to become a professional equestrian and compete in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. She further agrees that her step mum is someone who helps ‘calm’ her in her ‘everyday life.”[Salma] has a flame that calms me. It helps me in my everyday life,’ Mathilde told Paris Match in 2022.
She further noted that she’s learned so much from watching Salma Hayek on film sets. ‘She teaches me to keep a sense of priorities. I have already accompanied her on film shoots.’’I was able to observe how she managed her schedule, how she learned her texts at night,’ Mathilde explained.
‘She guides me in a very pragmatic way to face difficulty after difficulty. Her father François-Henri met had met the actor in 2006 and tied the knot in 2009 after welcoming their daughter Valentina, 16, in 2007. Altogether they have been together for 18 years including 15 years of marriage.
Salma Hayek had a good run in 2023 both in maintaining her beauty and career. She recently starred in Magic Mike’s Last Dance and a 2023 episode of Black Mirror. And is set to appear in Angelina Jolie’s next film as a director, Without Blood, which is in post-production.
