Blake Lively is remorseful for her scathing remarks about Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day photoshop failure after the royal announced she had been diagnosed with cancer. She took to her Instagram story to apologize for mocking the royal.
“I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories Friday. “I made a silly post around the ‘Photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today. The apology post comes a week after Blake Lively, apparently trolled the Princess of Wales, after the Mother’s Day image of Middleton with her three kids was pulled from photo agencies amid claims that the image was altered.

Blake Lively had shared the post amid growing rumours about Middleton’s whereabouts following her abdominal surgery in January. The theories were finally put to rest on Friday when she shared her cancer diagnosis. “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,” she said in the video message filmed by BBC Studios.

Middleton concluded her message by asking for “space and privacy” and by encouraging others who have cancer to “not lose faith or hope.” Blake Lively is the first of many celebrities to apologise for trolling the royal.
