Brad Pitt gains an inch over his estranged wife, Angelina Jolie in a new court ruling. TBN previously reported that Brad Pitt filed to have the actress surrender all the NDAs she signed with third parties over the sale of her share of the jointly owned winery Chateau Mireval which has been part of what is delaying their divorce proceedings.
The initial agreement of the couple was that neither should sell their shares to a third party without the consent of the other. An agreement the actress voided by selling her share for £400million business to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in October 2021. Her claim was that her estranged husband wanted her to sign a ridiculous NDA.
Brad Pitt in response filed a motion for her to surrender NDAs signed in respect to the sale of Chateau Mireval which her legal team termed as an act of abuse and an attempt to disclose the private information of businesses for selfish reasons. Unfortunately, this argument held no water as Jolie was asked to surrender the agreements.
The new ruling by a US judge stipulates that the actress must now make public all NDAs she has entered. Judge Lia Martin ruled that the actress must produce all NDAs she proposed, or that were proposed to her by others, regardless of whether they were finalised or agreed. It also included those signed by companies she controls and documents relevant to the NDAs. It simply means the judge agrees that they are relevant to the case.
Recall that the subject of NDAs has also been part of the couple’s custody suit. Her former security aide Tony Webb had testified saying he heard her bashing her kids for trying to spend time with their father. He further stated that the actress made threats to sue him and other security aides if they attempted to testify“in a custody proceeding.”
This is because of the non-disclosure agreements he and the others signed when resuming the work. Tony Webb further noted that Angelina Jolie’s legal team had contacted him to remind him about the NDAs they signed on not getting involved in the proceedings. The two contractors who testified both got fired.
