Perhaps it runs in the blood that Prince George wants to be a pilot after his dad, Prince Williams, his uncle, Prince Harry and his dad’s great-grandfather, King George IV. Becoming a pilot means he will join a host of other Royal family members who have distinguished themselves in serving the country.
Recall that his father Prince William completed his training and qualified as a helicopter pilot in the RAF Search and Rescue Force. Afterwards, he began a tour of duty in Wales and participated in over 150 operations before rounding up his military service in September 2013.
Prince William also served as an air ambulance pilot from July 2015 to July 2017. Another role model of the heir to the British throne after his father, Prince George is his estranged uncle Prince Harry during his 10-year career in the British Army. He was able to complete two tours of Afghanistan as a forward air controller and an Apache helicopter pilot.
He also flew for countless training missions in the UK, US and Australia. Perhaps this rich background of role models in the air sparked the interest of the young price for a career in the air. An interest his father revealed in a recent Buckingham Palace garden party hosted by the future king.

At the party, Prince William noted that Prince George had indicated interest in becoming a pilot. This is not unusual following his family’s deep-rooted love for the profession and his passion. His now cancer-stricken mother, Kate Middleton shared in a 2016 interview that the heir to the British throne is “obsessed with planes and wants to become an air cadet.”
Perhaps joining his parents during their tour of different air bases, also contributed to his interest in the field. Prince George was born on 22 July 2013 in St Mary’s Hospital, London and is the first child of Prince William and Catherine, now Prince and Princess of Wales.
