Nearly two years since the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard televised court case that shook social media, it appears that the two parties have moved on significantly with their lives. And not much Is known about what’s on going with them but we are helping to update you, dear readers.
After losing the case and getting cancelled in Hollywood, Amber Heard moved to Spain where she now lives with her daughter and has produced a movie. The defeat also affected her role as Meera in Aquaman as her parts were mostly cut leaving her appearing in some insignificant parts.
Johnny Depp who won chose to engage in other interests as the lawsuit severely affected his career before it was ruled on. The star was accused by his ex Amber Heard of domestic violence which led to him losing roles including the notable Jack Sparrow role.
Ultimately he sued her over defamation which was presided in a televised court proceeding. Since the star has kept a low profile until now it’s being rumoured that he is set for a comeback and may even reprise his Jack Sparrow role. But what has he been up to since then and how do we know he is planning a comeback?
First, he was recently seen looking clean and fresh at a recent French film premiere. His hair and beard were trimmed as against his signature bushy look. Apart from his looks, Johnny Depp also travelled extensively. Most notable is his trip to Saudi Arabia where he was entertained by the Royal Family.
Again, he was also spotted spending time with his friends. It appeared that the actor is on a healing retreat to shed off his toxic past and forge ahead for the future following the popular court case. It also appeared that his career is slowly picking too.
Per the DailyMail report, Johnny Depp is seriously considering coming back as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. “Johnny has always been so touched by how many people love and resonate with the character, so anything is possible,” the insider said.
He is also set to feature in the Dior campaign and is set to appear in commercial and film appearances later this year. Recall that he was first awarded $15 million in damages for winning the case. However, it was reduced to $10.35 million due to a Virginia law cap on punitive damages. Amber Heard has ultimately paid off the damages.
