Operation Menai Bridge will be activated once His Majesty, King Charles dies as against Operation London Bridge when Queen Elizabeth died. The plan was drawn when the monarch was diagnosed with cancer after a routine surgery was performed.
The monarch underwent surgery in February for prostate enlargement which was deemed benign. Not long after Buckingham Palace announced that it was discovered that the king had cancer but did not specify what type of cancer he had. Elsewhere in the statement, the king was advised to reduce his duties.
This is to give him rest while he is undergoing treatment as he is the reigning monarch who succeeded his mother, Queen Elizabeth upon her death in 2022. The Operation Menai Bridge will be activated upon his death as he was given only two years to live. His daughter-in-law law kate Middleton was also diagnosed with cancer as well but does not reveal which one as well.
Despite the 2 years, it appears the monarch may not even live till then. His condition is alleged to be worsening. Per Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast Thursday report “Speaking to friends of the king in recent weeks about his health, the most common response is … ‘It’s not good.”
The outlet further wrote that a friend of the king noted that he “is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it.” He further added, “Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is very unwell. More than they are letting on.” This means that if everything goes askew, the operation menai bridge will be carried out.
The Daily Beast further reports that due to the worsening illness, funeral plans of the monarch are being accelerated due to its urgency while noting that there has been an increased circulation of the programs that were aptly carried out during Queen Elizabeth’s brain and how to improve them.
TBN contacted a few insiders who confirmed that indeed the Operation Menai Bridge is constantly being reviewed. One such source noted that “The plans have been dusted off and are actively being kept up to date,” the former staffer explained.“It’s no more than what you would expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer. But the circulation of them has certainly focused minds.”
Kate Middleton, the future queen is currently also fighting cancer which she announced on 22nd March after a long absence. “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery,” she said in the video message filmed by BBC Studios
Then announcing the news, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,” she explained. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
