Jennifer Garner Reveals Her Parenting Hack In Candid Interview: See Details
Jennifer Garner sat down in an interview to discuss her approach to raising her kids with Paul Affleck now that they are becoming young adults. The mother of three explained that her three children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, are ‘really solid right now’ as she spoke to People about parenthood.Â
‘I’m just watching them in this new phase of life where they’re figuring out who they’re going to be and what they’re going to study,’ she explained.’And I’m so interested in them,’ added the star. ‘All the time, I’m interested in everything about them.’Â She further admitted it’s ‘so hard’ to let her kids make their own decisions.
‘I mean, my parents did too, and I’m so amazed by that,’ she said.’I have a really hard time not saying, “This is what I see you as,” and “I think you should…”‘ explained Jennifer Garner. ‘I really have to sit on my hands.’ The mother of three previously sought her daughters advice over her Netflix body swap movie Family Switch.
‘I definitely went to my teens and asked a bunch of questions,’ she told People. ‘They were all like: “Mom, you’re crazy.”‘ In Family Switch, the actor and co-star Ed Helms starred as parents to teen kids who swapped places with their teen kids for a day. ‘My kids are funny and they’re smart, and they work really hard,’ she said at the time. ‘And their teenage antics are at the very lowest, G-rated level, so I’m doing okay.’
‘You know what? I think my kids work so hard, and they have so much pressure on them that I could never even have imagined as a teenager myself,’ added Jennifer Garner. She further added that ‘it hasn’t really sunk in’ that Violet is getting ready for college, adding that she will ‘have moments where it hits me. But so far, I’m just excited for her.’Â
The alias’s star shares her kids with Ben Affleck whom she married in 2005Â and divorced in 2018. Since then they have chosen to respectfully co-parent. The former couple has been spotted in several places with their kids despite his marriage to former flame, Jennifer Lopez.
