Jennifer Lopez has enjoyed some wins despite everything seemingly going bad in her marriage as she and her husband Ben Affleck are now living separately and heading towards a divorce. This win is her movie Atlas which is currently streaming on Netflix and has received worldwide acclaim.
On the other hand, the star may lose millions of dollars courtesy of the bad performance of This is Me….Now album and low ticket sales for her tour. Both are part of her three projects which include a ninth studio album, This is Me…..Now which dropped on 16, a behind-the-scenes documentary inspired by love letters from Ben and “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.”
The third is a narrative-driven musical film now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Jennifer Lopez is also set to go on tour produced by Live Nation and it will be hitting over 30 cities across North America beginning from June 26. Unfortunately, the ticket sales and albums have not done as well as estimated and may now likely affect her Residency deal worth 9 million (£8,297,190.00)
Per experts, the success of her past residency in 2016 and 2018 preempted the possibility of the deal. But due to the reduced ticket sales and poor album sales, MGM Grand who sponsored the deal for the $1 million (£921,910.00) per night concert may withdraw its offer. Per insiders, the Sin City return is now in jeopardy.
A source told The Mirror that, “It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas.” This implies that if the tour is poor, there’s no hope for multi-million dollar Las Vegas concerts. On the other hand, there might be another offer which involves less money, about $600000 which is a far reduced offer from the initial one.
The latest news comes after Jennifer Lopez announced her decision to go on tour in promotion of her ninth studio album, This Is Me…. Now as part of a last year deal. The album follows her 2002 album This is Me…Then.
