Nigerians love Nigeria no doubt but don’t hesitate to blast its leaders whenever they start acting up. That was what Charly Boy, a controversial celebrity known for his sense of style and opinionated nature and several well-meaning Nigerians took to social media to blast the government.
Any citizen or foreigner resident in Nigeria will understand why those living in Nigeria are blasting the Tinubu government. That’s because the government have left the critical infrastructure to focus on irrelevant things such as changing the national anthem.
This quickness in signing the new bill has Nigerians in glee and repulsion that the government can be quick in signing bills. For the latter, Nigerian singer and socialite Charly Boy was part as he took to his Instagram to blast the government over its anthem bill.

Perhaps the massive disapproval of the reverting of the current Nigerian national anthem back to the old one has something to do with the fact that the old one was written by the British Lillian Jean Williams, and is a mark of colonialism while the current one was written by Pa Benedict Odiase.
Charly Boy on his Instagram account heavily blasted the government for the change insisting with many Nigerians that it is a misplaced priority. Nigerians and Nigerians have several more challenging issues such as poverty, economic crisis, inflation, power failure, insecurity, exchange rate etc.
He captioned the Instagram post, Misplaced Priorities, incompetence, greed and the almighty CORRUPTION can never be covered up by false propaganda. My people, Wetin dey worry us pass for dis country, HUNGER or NATIONAL ANTHEM?” The socialite indeed mirrored the mind of many.
This is not the first time neither will be the last, Charly Boy will be critiquing the government over their many irrelevant policies. Like his controversial remarks, the socialite has earned a reputation for his activism against bad governance.
